“What’s wrong with my phone?” Cameron said disappointedly as she noticed the black shadow had not only not gone away but instead had grown to cover her one shoulder as well.

After seeing the picture, her frustration began to turn into anger. “I just bought this stupid phone.” she said, tossing it on her bed. Determined to show the world how good she looked, Cameron opened her laptop, logged into her favorite SMS and took a photo of herself using the computer’s built-in camera.

And that’s when she understood. In that moment, all the anger and frustration melted away and instead, fear and terror had arrived. She now understood that the dark matter she had seen before on her phone was not a mistake.

The computer showed her reflection, ready for the next picture. She could see the black ooze spreading across her cheeks, nose, and mouth. The color of the shadow was darker than the darkest night! One thing was clear, this would be the last picture she would ever take. (End. By Prof. Michael Okamoto)
