We are finally out of the World Cup season. I don’t know about you, but I am pleased to be back to normal. Of course, if you were glued to your television set during the whole of June and July then you might feel at a loss of what to do. This is often natural after big events like the Olympics or the Ice Skating Championships.
One thing that I find helps is to start walking or running more. After all, we have all probably put on more weight watching our national teams running around the football field. So put on those shoes and get fit like your sporting favourites and say “goodbye” to those sporting blues! (by Prof. Simon Smith)

Have you ever been scuba diving or snorkeling? Okinawa is famous for its coral reefs, which are made up of trillions and trillions of tiny animals. When one of these tiny animals dies, its skeleton joins with other skeletons, which build up little by little. It takes a long time, though, because coral only grows between 3 and 2 centimeters a year. When you think about how long it takes for them to grow, it’s no wonder that people are always advocating for more care so the reefs aren’t damaged. (by Prof. Carmella Lieske)
