There are things that you can do in Japan but you cannot do in certain U.S. states. Sometimes people use little fish to clean their feet. You put your feet in the water, and doctor fish eat the dead skin. Apparently, it makes your feet feel softer. I have seen this kind of fish spa at a “super sento” in Nagoya near my house. One businesswoman wanted to start a fish spa in Arizona. She bought some fish from China and went into business. Then she was told to close her fish spa. It was against the law to use fish because they were not clean enough. (by Prof. Douglas Jarrell)
