Luke Aikins is a skydiver and a daredevil. He has made 18,000 jumps in his life, but at the end of July he decided to try jumping without anything to slow his fall. He jumped from a plane almost 8,000 meters above ground without a parachute or a wingsuit. People in the U.S. were able to watch the jump live on TV. He had to land in a net on the desert floor below him. The net was only 30 meters by 30 meters, too small to see from 8,000 meters. They used very strong lights to show him where it was.
