When you think of dangerous wild animals, what do you think of? In the western U.S., there are bears and pumas (large wild cats). In the eastern U.S., there is a bird that can be a problem: the wild turkey. These birds are much bigger than chickens, and they live in the countryside. Recently, a mail carrier for the post office in New Jersey was attacked by turkeys as he was getting out of his truck. He called his boss, and the boss called the police saying, “You’re not going to believe this, but…” The police sent some officers to the truck, and they rescued the mail carrier.
